Madame Lam - Vietnamese Contemporary Cuisine
Add collectionContact Information
Built based on the concept of an ancient Vietnamese house, Madame Lam's design gives diners a sense of familiarity, and at the same time completely comfortable and pleasant as returning to the home of grandparents in the past.
Indochinese architecture is also very evident in the design line, with large walls painted yellow or blue, dotted with ivory white and brown colors from wooden columns or tables and chairs, Asian decorations, cool tile roofs, classic ceiling lights...
Madame Lam's strength is its own signature culinary style with Vietnamese dishes carefully selected and skillfully processed.
Betel leaf grilled barbs, grilled chicken wings are the recommended dishes to try when coming to Madame Lam. These are two dishes with an excellent combination of familiar and strange ingredients in Vietnamese cuisine.

Thanks to the recommendation of a foodie friend, I had the pleasure of dining at the Michelin selected Madame Lam in Saigon and meeting the exuberant head chef Cuong who gave a divine modern interpretation of Vietnamese dishes that he grew up with. The results did not disappoint and made the 30-minute ride from District 1 in Saigon a worthy trudge! My personal favourite was the dragon fruit concaved out to brim with pomelo, shrimp and pork bathed in a delicate dressing - it was too pretty to eat but one has gotta to do justice! Next, the river eel fried, served with cassava mash and accompanied by a pesto of five types of basil was devoured shamelessly. At Chef Cuong’s insistence, I sampled his dessert platter of six and his mom’s yummy banana coconut cream parfait lolly! I also tried his sesame rice crackers, which is made by a relative according to his specifications. The man is a firm believer in creating from scratch. The decor was as lovely as the food!
