La Salsa
Add collectionContact Information
La Salsa is a restaurant steeped in European culture with two mixed cuisines: French and Spanish. In addition to enjoying the romantic space, here visitors can also experience 1 feast of French taste buds: cheese, potatoes, baguette,... and typical Spanish tapas.
The restaurant is an ideal destination for those who fall in love with French cuisine, fall in love with Spanish flavors and enjoy the "natural poetry" space in the heart of Hanoi.

Cannot not make a detailed review at this point as I’ve only been here a couple of times for visits unrelated to their core business.
Unfortunately, Google continues to nag me to make a review, so here goes…
I’ve been here once to enjoy cigars and whiskey with a friend, another for a birthday party.
Cigar smoking is allowed. A bonus for local people. The outside terrace looks very nice.
Cannot comment on the food at this point.
Staff appear to be professional and well trained but this is not a fair observation yet.
I will come back and do a detailed review in the future.

Very Good

We visited La Salsa for dinner yesterday. Firstly, the restaurant is upstairs, the kitchen and washroom (at the bottom of the stairs) is on the ground floor. The restaurant is cosy, with black & red checked tablecloths, a chalk board with the tapas menu and framed Spanish-style art. It has an old school kind of Spanish restaurant vibe which makes sense having been established since 1999. Everyone at the restaurant is very friendly and professional. I was expecting more vegetarian dishes as I’ve been to many tapas restaurants and never struggled to find options. We decided to order patatas bravas, onion rings, meatballs (for my boyfriend) and a vegetable paella. It would be nice to see a few more inspiring vegetable based small plates- how about cheese croquettes as well as ham, a white bean & tomato stew or grilled aubergine? We enjoyed our smooth bottle of Spanish red wine. Would have loved the bread to come with a small bowl of olive oil/balsamic. We asked but the waiter didn’t understand our request. Altogether it was pleasant but not amongst our favourites in Hanoi.
