Chao Ban Vietnamese Restaurant
Add collectionContact Information
One of the rare Vietnamese restaurants in the West Lake area, Chao Ban is a restaurant with a rather "modest" area but still popular with diners perhaps because of its own flavor. It is known that the restaurant was opened by a French-Vietnamese, the dishes in the restaurant are also prepared by his own mother - Chef Madame Hang. Chao Ban serves traditional Vietnamese dishes, with a slight variation on how to prepare and present to suit the space.

Great food. One of the best meals I had in Hanoi. The squid is excellent. Beautifully cooked and great seasoning. Pork is nice. Tendered inside but crispy outside. Chicken is very good

We visited this restaurant twice during our visit in Hanoi. A small restaurant with friendly English speaking staff. Seating available both inside and outside. First time we ordered fresh Vietnamese rolls, mango salad, barbecued beef in lot leaves, and a pork dish. For dessert a delicious banana cake. Second time we had fried spring rolls, morning glory,
Barbecued pork ribs and fish in clay pot. All dishes were fresh, well prepared and well presented. Portions were normal but big enough for sharing. Reasonable prices. Recommended.
