Chao Ban Vietnamese Restaurant
Add collectionContact Information
One of the rare Vietnamese restaurants in the West Lake area, Chao Ban is a restaurant with a rather "modest" area but still popular with diners perhaps because of its own flavor. It is known that the restaurant was opened by a French-Vietnamese, the dishes in the restaurant are also prepared by his own mother - Chef Madame Hang. Chao Ban serves traditional Vietnamese dishes, with a slight variation on how to prepare and present to suit the space.

Great food. One of the best meals I had in Hanoi. The squid is excellent. Beautifully cooked and great seasoning. Pork is nice. Tendered inside but crispy outside. Chicken is very good

The team and the restaurant in general are really nice. The place is great for sitting outside, but during lunch it is also quite busy. We had the some summer roles and Tofu with eggplant, which were both ok. The rolls are expensive compared to what you get and the Tofu was somehow sour, which I personally did not like. I would still give this place 4/5, as taste is subjective and the food was freshly prepped.
