The restaurant represents traditional dishes of the rural area in southern regions of Vietnam with lots of dishes comes from rice extraction such as banh xeo and banh khot. Also all the foods are served with special vegetable and fish sauce comes from these regions. All together made an indispensable flavor

Hoang Yen has been around for many years n I have eaten here since the early 1990 s during every visit to HCMC. Food taste is still good but have been twisted to suit foreigner taste buds. No longer the old school authentic Saigon taste of the past but still worth checking out...
