Found this restaurant five years ago when in Vietnam for my 60th.
Back again for my 65th and they were certainly on my list.
First visit we went I had my faves. Snails - 6 - so yummy.
Mr T and our friends aren t snail people, but certainly helped use up all the herbed garlic butter with their bread. Duck magret.... so good again.
Creme Brulee - what can I say. So good.
We went to the Mekong, and booked for my birthday on 13th.
As we were flying out the next day, didn t want a big night, or heavy food as we wanted to go to bed early to rise early.
Booked in for 3pm.
Long, slow, late lunch, early dinner.
We were there for hours, and not once did we feel rushed.
On both occasions, we were given a complimentary glass of sparkling and a camembert ball each. Nice. Thankyou.
Snails again for me, along with the seafood casserole. Didn t look like the illustration with mussels in shell, however, it was delicious. Nice sauce and juicy seafood.
Other meals enjoyed were roast Beef, Duck and Pork.
Everything was spot on, along with the friendly and efficient service.

They have changed the menu, and it is not as extensive as what it originally, was, but they have kept the best.

The only negative, is that I booked twice via Messenger, and got a response.
On both occasions, they did not have my booking!!! If I didn t get an answer, I wouldn t complain, but I did on both occasions, asking which location I wanted, and confirmation!!!!
The second time, they even asked if we wanted the previous location, so they had record of us going!
Weird.

Maybe they should look at this. The first time, we had to wait about 15 minutes, however, the second time didn t really matter, as they are not busy at 3pm.

Nous avons atterri dans ce restaurant un peu par hasard , nous voulions manger dans celui d’à côté très connu pour ces délicieux plats vietnamiens… mais quand on a vu la queue qu’il y avait … on a vite abandonné l’idée .. ça sera pour demain soir .. donc nous voilà chez Cocotte, qui touche l’autre restaurant, et ceci dit, super chouette quand on a envie de de cuisine française !! Ici on trouve pratiquement tous nos plats phare .. bœuf bourguignon, escargots , tartare , quiche … pour ma part, ça a été poireaux vinaigrette et assiette de fromage , accompagné d’un verre de vin rouge la vieille ferme ( que je connais bien ) mon mari a pris des escargots et une belle salage au bleu. Le service est top !! Le cadre très sympa !! Ce restaurant se trouve au fond d’une impasse , si votre hôtel est dans le centre, vous pouvez y accéder à pieds ( compter 17 minutes de marche ) , en vélo taxi , en taxi scooter ou en taxi voiture !!
