Translated by Bing
Known as one of the three tall, rugged peaks in Ta Xua special use forest (bordering Bac Yen, Son La districts and Tram Tau district, Yen Bai), Sa Mu - U Bo with a height of 2,756m is becoming a new trekking destination for young people.

From the ghostly forest to the majestic sea of clouds

Shoulder carrying backpack, holding a stick, the journey to conquer Samu - U Bo starts from Xím Vang (Bac Yen district, Son La), local guides will lead visitors along a small trail to the top of the mountain.

From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain is a distance of about 13km through diverse vegetation, especially the ghostly primeval forest with patches of moss clinging to the trunks.

Depending on the season, the beauty of this trekking course also changes. If visitors come to Samu - U Bo in March, April will be lucky to admire the azaleas blooming brightly among the green of the mountains and forests. The period from 9 to 11 months is when maple leaves change to yellow and red to create a poetic scene.

Not only famous for its ghostly forest, this trekking course also delights visitors by the sea of clouds floating above Mount Samu. From an altitude of 2,756m above sea level, visitors can easily admire the sea of clouds lost among the mountains.

The time from December to February every year is when you can easily hunt clouds. As long as it rains the day before, the next day a sea of magical clouds will appear.

Having conquered many mountains in the Northwest, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung (photographer) shared that what he likes most about Sa Mu - U Bo Palace is the forest of many ancient trees with moss with ghostly beauty.
