From the ghostly forest to the majestic sea of clouds
Shoulder carrying backpack, holding a stick, the journey to conquer Samu - U Bo starts from Xím Vang (Bac Yen district, Son La), local guides will lead visitors along a small trail to the top of the mountain.
From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain is a distance of about 13km through diverse vegetation, especially the ghostly primeval forest with patches of moss clinging to the trunks.
Depending on the season, the beauty of this trekking course also changes. If visitors come to Samu - U Bo in March, April will be lucky to admire the azaleas blooming brightly among the green of the mountains and forests. The period from 9 to 11 months is when maple leaves change to yellow and red to create a poetic scene.
Not only famous for its ghostly forest, this trekking course also delights visitors by the sea of clouds floating above Mount Samu. From an altitude of 2,756m above sea level, visitors can easily admire the sea of clouds lost among the mountains.
The time from December to February every year is when you can easily hunt clouds. As long as it rains the day before, the next day a sea of magical clouds will appear.

Prepare well before conquering Samu peak - U Bo
Before starting the climbing journey, visitors should prepare their physical strength by walking and running regularly to have health and endurance.
When embarking on the journey, warm up carefully. It is the performance of movements such as: walking, running slowly, rotating knee joints, ankles, wrists ... helps stimulate the body from a state of rest to a state of movement.
During the trekking course, visitors should stick to their group, absolutely do not separate the group to avoid getting lost or having problems.
In your backpack, you should prepare snacks such as chocolate, dried fruits, dried food, water. Besides, headlights, raincoats are also indispensable items.
Hiking backpacks should choose a waterproof type to ensure that supplies and clothes are dry even in the rain.
Currently, this trekking palace is built for both Vietnamese and foreign tourists. Each trekking group numbers about 10 people. A trekking tour of Sa Mu - U Bo peak lasts for three days and two nights at a cost of 7-8 million VND/person.
