Huong Hamlet is located in the highest position of Hop Phong commune, Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, the climate is especially cool in summer. This is a locality that is considered as the green lung of the province with 520 hectares of natural forest being zoned and protected by people.

Previously, the road to Joy was shaky with high and zigzag slopes, jagged road surfaces with gravel and stones. Since 2011, this road has been concreted 4.5/7km, which is convenient for vehicles to enter and exit.

From the concrete road connection to the Hamlet village is 2.5km long. In addition to the cool climate, visitors are impressed by the terraced fields and flower fields of more than 4 hectares. The winding fields, above which the stilt roofs are low, create an enchanting scenery of a mountainous region. At the foot of the field is an ancient banyan tree, with a canopy of several tens of meters, which is considered a symbol in the spiritual life of the people of this Muong village.

From a remote village, Huong hamlet has gradually renewed into a romantic and poetic destination but still does not lose the inherent simple beauty of a countryside. In addition to the hill of yellow butterflies at an altitude of 200m, on the top of the 900m high mountain, there are also pink butterfly flowers and cherry blossoms. From the top, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the area, ancient banyan trees and golden butterflies below.

In addition, Huong hamlet also has a bamboo forest with a path about 300m long for tourists to take photos and relax. The road to the bamboo forest is quite difficult to walk, nearly 3km from the flower hill, it needs a guide or a local person to guide the way.

From here, visitors can enjoy the ripe rice season on the terraced fields. The rice in Huong hamlet ripens late, about two weeks before the people start harvesting.

Coming to Muong hamlet, visitors can also go to the homestay and glamping area (comfortable camping) to stay overnight and hunt clouds on favorable weather days. The ticket price to visit the flower hill is 20,000 VND for guests in Hoa Binh, 30,000 VND for out-of-province visitors. This revenue has helped the lives of local people gradually improve.

Huong Hamlet is located about 12km from the National Highway 6 in the direction of Hanoi to Son La, so it is convenient for tourists to visit along the way. The local government has proposed to superiors to develop a plan and orientation for the development of Huong hamlet into a community tourist destination .

Next year, Huong will restore the old stilt houses on the terraced fields, build a gallery, revive the traditional culture of the Muong people, attract tourists to learn and experience.
