Happy Hamlet - a remote village filled with flowers in Hoa Binh

Hamlet Happy is located at the highest position of Hop Phong commune, Cao Phong district, Hoa Binh province, the climate is especially cool in summer. This is a locality considered as the green lung of the province with 520 hectares of natural forest being raised and protected by people. In the past, the road back to Happy was far away with zigzag steep slopes, jagged gravel and rocky road surface. Since 2011, this road has been concreted 4.5/7km, convenient for vehicles to enter. From the ramp of the concrete road to the neighborhood of Happy is 2.5km long. In addition to the cool climate, visitors are impressed with the terraced fields, flower fields of more than 4ha. The winding fields, above the stilt roofs create the scenery of an enchanting mountainous region. At the foot of the field is an ancient banyan tree, the canopy is several tens of meters wide, this is considered a symbol in the spiritual life of this Muong village. From a remote village, Happy village has gradually renovated into a romantic and poetic destination but still does not lose the inherent simple beauty of a countryside. In addition to the hill of yellow butterfly flowers at an altitude of 200m, on the top of the 900m high mountain, there are also flaps of pink butterfly flowers and cherry apricots. From the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the area, ancient banyan trees and yellow butterfly flowers below.  In addition, Happy village also has a bamboo forest with a path through about 300m long for visitors to take photos and relax. The road to the bamboo forest is quite difficult to walk, nearly 3km from the flower hill, requiring a guide or indigenous person to lead the way. From here, visitors can enjoy the view of the ripe rice season on the terraced fields. The rice in Happy village ripens late, about two weeks before people start harvesting. Coming to Happy village, visitors can also go to the homestay and glamping area (comfortable camping) to stay overnight, hunt clouds on favorable weather days. The ticket price to visit the flower hill is 20,000 VND for guests in Hoa Binh, 30,000 VND for guests outside the province. This revenue has helped the lives of local people gradually improve.  Hamlet Happy is located about 12km from the road of National Highway 6 towards Hanoi to Son La, so it is convenient for tourists to visit along the road. Local authorities have proposed to superiors to develop plans and orientations to develop Happy Village into a community tourist destination .  Next year, Happy will restore the ancient stilt houses on the terraced fields, build galleries, revive the traditional culture of the Muong ethnic group, attract visitors to learn and experience.
