The Tu Lan cave system consists of 20 caves and was first explored in 1992 by the Anglo-Vietnamese Cave Exploration Team. Tu Lan is an isolated cave system formed along the Rao Nan river originating from Thuong Hoa, Trung Hoa, Dan Hoa, Hoa Son and Tan Hoa communes, in Minh Hoa District. The entire limestone cave system is concentrated in the area of Tan Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District and Cao Quang Commune, Tuyen Hoa District, Quang Binh Province, about 70km northwest of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park of the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail.
Visitors can experience a variety of terrain and admire the majestic natural landscape here when crossing grassy fields, green valleys, dense rainforests, towering mountain slopes or swimming through underground rivers. Tu Lan has a poetic, peaceful but no less majestic beauty and is rare in the world.
Visitors can choose Tu Lan expedition tours with suitable routes and adventure levels. Adventure tours from 1 to 4 days have many interesting activities, exploring the most beautiful caves of Tu Lan and experiencing the life of the people here.
Highlights of the tour include:
