About 140km from the center of Hanoi, Bac Son valley is one of the attractive destinations for tourists when visiting Lang Son because of its beautiful landscape, with a series of overlapping limestone mountains and large rice fields intertwined with the stilt houses of the Tay and Nung people. To reach the top of Na Lay, visitors have to follow a small trail through about 1,200 stone steps. Although it has been reinforced by the people, this climbing arc still has some steep sections. Visitors need to monitor the weather before the trip and can find a local guide to lead the way for safety.
The distance to the top takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour of travel (depending on each person's physical fitness), although it is difficult, but it makes up for it to admire the beautiful natural scenery from above. If you want to hunt clouds successfully, you should start from the foot of the mountain early in the morning, about 3:30 to 4 a.m. and check the weather forecast before going, avoiding rainy and windy days.

People in Bac Son usually plant two rice crops based on weather conditions. In particular, the ripe rice season usually falls around the end of July and the end of October.
The rice fields here do not ripen simultaneously because it depends on the planting time of each household. Therefore, visitors often see the scenery of yellow and blue intertwined, creating a colorful intersecting natural picture.

Although it is not possible to admire the beautiful golden ripe rice season, visitors here can still experience cloud hunting on the top of Na Lay, combined with visiting a number of other destinations in the area such as: Yin and yang tile roof making village of the Tay people in Quynh Son; the "immortal banyan tree" is nearly 500 years old; Nong Luc communal house, Tam Canh pass,... and enjoy delicious and attractive specialties.
