Ripe rice season in Pu Luong

Translated by Bing
Pu Luong means the highest peak of the village, in the Thai language. This place concentrates mostly Thai and Muong people. In addition to relaxing, visitors can also enjoy local specialties and lifestyles.

Located behind forests, surrounded by large mountains, Pu Luong valley is one of the tourist attractions in recent years. Pu Luong has a cool climate, peaceful setting, suitable for nature lovers. Pu Luong seen from above, the villages are located among the hills with the road passing through the fields, where visitors can take beautiful photos of the terraced fields.

Pu Luong has two ripe rice seasons in May 5-6 and May 9-10. Unlike other famous rice viewing spots in the northern mountainous region, Pu Luong rice season is usually later and longer. And when the weather is cool, sunny as honey, this place attracts many tourists. For those who have not seen ripe rice in the mountains, or still want to hold on to the beautiful moments of autumn, you can come to Pu Luong to once again experience the feeling of being immersed in nature. Here by the end of October, there are still many fields planted with yellow flowers that have not been harvested.

The homestays here are built in a rustic style, close and in harmony with nature, bringing peace and comfort to visitors. Anywhere in Pu Luong, you can also admire the beautiful scenery, which is an ingenious combination of nature and skillful hands of people. Many times just by opening the door, you can feel the smell of rice, grass, flowers, fresh nature.

After a day of fun in Pu Luong, visitors will enjoy local dishes such as vegetables, duck steamed with cork pipes, grilled chicken with honey hook leaves, wild vegetables, bamboo shoots, spring fish... drink wine together, watch and listen to the traditional melodies of the Thai people. A café with a view of rice fields, where visitors can sip a cup of coffee while enjoying the natural scenery. In Pu Luong, there are also many "chill" corners for visitors who like to take "virtual life" photos.

Pu Luong is about 160 km from Hanoi, in Ba Thuoc and Quan Hoa districts, Thanh Hoa province. If traveling by car along Ho Chi Minh Street, it will take about 4 hours to drive. The way is convenient, easy to find.
