Quang Binh province allows the tour "Explore the ironwood forest - The house of Kong" by 4-wheeled off-road vehicle (ATV) to operate in Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa district. This is where director Jordan Vogt-Roberts chose to set the scene for the Hollywood blockbuster "Kong: Skull Island" in 2016. Tan Hoa has a 5-hectare ironwood forest, hundreds of years old, protected and preserved for many generations. Many ironwood trees are 20-30 m high, 1-2 people in circumference.

In the 2-hour tour, visitors master the road, drive ATVs through ironwoods, palm forests and sim forests, and conquer every winding bend, every slope, cross stream and run in dark tunnels. This is one of the first ATV driving tours officially licensed in Vietnam. The tour price is from 1 to 1.5 million VND depending on the type of vehicle, the number of passengers per vehicle and other services. Persons aged 16 and over can drive the vehicle themselves, under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Each tour must not exceed 10 people. The type of car is not difficult to control, can be controlled after 5 to 10 minutes of familiarization.
Tan Hoa site is quite far from Dong Hoi city, about 120 km and about 70 km from Phong Nha. Visitors should combine some points in Quang Binh when participating in ATV tour. From Dong Hoi, you can go to Tan Hoa by self-driving car, taxi or bus of the operator.

In addition to exploring the ironwood forest by ATV, Tan Hoa also has many caves to visit, including the system of Tu Lan cave, Tien cave with many beautiful scenes such as rivers and streams, primeval forests, friendly people.
