Ba Quang grass hill (or Vinh Quy grass hill) is a "virtual life" coordinate that is loved by many young people. This place is located about 70km from the center of Cao Bang city, in a position bordering Khum Din hamlet and Bac Vong hamlet in Vinh Quy commune, Ha Lang district, Cao Bang province.
From May to October, visitors will be immersed in the beauty of the green grass that stretches endlessly on the undulating hills.
On the vast grassy hill, just raise the camera to have a beautiful picture. However, the ideal point to admire the "sea" of clouds and the surrounding area is the highest peak. From here, the quiet space and fresh air of the morning are felt most clearly.
While striding leisurely on the trails that cut through the hill, people can also zoom out to see the fields and villages of the local residents in the middle of the mountains echoing the message.
In summer, visitors visit Ba Quang grass hill to enjoy the cool and fresh climate, combining activities such as setting up tents, camping, and holding outdoor barbecues.
You can park your car at the foot of the hill and walk up about 700m, the road is short but quite difficult to walk. Currently, the venue remains open for free.
Each season, Ba Quang grass hill has a different beauty. The end of the mellow and fresh green grass season is the burning grass season from about October to January next year. At that time, the grass hills turned an impressive orange-yellow color, which many people likened to "miniature Mongolia".
Many travel enthusiasts who have set foot here note that the burning grass season can change depending on the weather each year. Usually, when it is cold below 15 degrees Celsius, the weather is dry, and the grass gradually turns yellow. Therefore, there are years in October-November that are yellow covering the hills, but sometimes you have to wait until December.
The most appropriate time to check-in at Ba Quang grass hill is early morning or late evening, depending on each person's wishes, there are mysterious and poetic photos in the "sea" of clouds at dawn or romantic, shimmering in the sunset.
In winter, the temperature in this area ranges from 8-15 degrees Celsius, the weather changes rapidly. Therefore, visitors should choose a sunny day so that the movement is not strenuous, and at the same time, the "virtual life" photo also looks more attractive.
The grass hill is located in the Eastern tourist route - the route "Experience indigenous culture in wonderland" of the Cao Bang Non Nuoc UNESCO Global Geopark.
After enjoying the beauty of Ba Quang grassy hills, visitors can visit Thanh Kham waterfall also in Vinh Quy commune, only 1km away. In the midst of the vast green of lush trees, the white waterfall winds softly, creating an impressive highlight for the landscape here.
In addition, when coming to Ha Lang district at the end of the year, people can also check-in to the wildflower hill in Thai Duc commune, see the state flowers in Quang Long commune or camp on Vinh Quy pine hill in Khau Lu village not far from the grass hill.
