This summer, travel to Quang Ngai

Translated by Bing
Clear beaches, green prairies, rare cloud-hunting passes and salt fields with a hundred years of history are places not to be missed when coming to Quang Ngai this summer.

With a 129 km long coastline, Quang Ngai contains many rich natural heritages and many clear blue beaches, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. The climate of Quang Ngai is divided into 2 distinct seasons: the sunny season and the dry season with an average temperature of 25-27 degrees Celsius.

Although the climate in some other provinces tends to increase in the next few months, Quang Ngai still keeps the temperature cool, the sun is not too harsh in summer with a daytime temperature of about 33 degrees Celsius.

Catch the sunrise, hunt for clouds at Violak Pass

This location is located on National Highway 24, connecting Kon Tum province with Quang Ngai. With a length of about 50 km, the pass winds through many mountains and rolling valleys, the top of the pass is more than 1,300 m above sea level, so there are many clouds and dense fog. The pristine and fresh scenery makes this place an ideal cloud hunting location for travel enthusiasts.

Following the winding route, visitors will encounter a charming natural scene like a paradise. On one side is a steep mountainside, embellished with green, red, yellow, purple colors from trees and wildflowers along the roadside, on the other side are green valleys interspersed with canals. Especially in the early morning, when the dawn appears, the sun slowly spreads all over the distant ravine, and the white clouds make Violak Pass like an idyllic but lyrical natural picture.

Standing at the top of the pass in the early morning, the best time is around 6-8 am, you will be able to admire the rare landscape when the clouds float in front of you. The sun rose high, causing the fog to gradually dissipate, a very indescribable feeling when we were alone with heaven and earth.

Have a long day with the green beach

For many travelers, summer is the ideal time to go to the beach, to relieve the heat. Quang Ngai will not disappoint tourists because Mother Nature has given this land clear beaches, a rich population of natural marine life that makes everyone super happy.

▸ Ly Son Island

Located about 30 km from the mainland, visitors can reach Ly Son by high-speed boat from Sa Ky port. This island district has an area of about 10.39 km2, including 2 main islands, Be Island (Bo Bai Island) and Lon Island (Ly Son or Ré Island).

A special feature on Big Island is the To Vo Gate, a wonder of nature created from volcanic lava millions of years ago. When dusk falls, it is the ideal time for visitors to capture the best moments. Nearby is Hang Cau with soaring cliffs and crystal blue beaches. The name "Hang Cau" comes from the vegetable plants that surround the cliffs. Here, visitors can participate in snorkeling or kayaking.

Be Island, also known as An Binh island commune, is only 3 nautical miles from Lon Island but still retains its wild appearance because it has not been exploited much. Therefore, the scenery here is breathtaking, making anyone who sets foot in love with it. Visitors can choose to take a wooden boat that takes about 30 minutes, or if you want to be faster, you can travel by canoe which takes about 10 minutes.

Mu Cu Island attracts tourists thanks to its pristine natural beauty and picturesque scenery. It has one of the most beautiful sunrise spots on the island, so remember to get up early to catch the first sun of the day. Bai Ngang is also one of the popular check-in locations in Ly Son, attracting tourists by its natural beauty and peace. A popular activity here is coral diving, where visitors can see colorful fish and diverse coral reefs.

▸ Go Co Village

Located about 60 km south of Quang Ngai city, this place in Pho Thanh ward, Duc Pho town brings the rustic and idyllic beauty of a village with the Sa Huynh culture of the Cham Pa people who used to live.

If you love trekking activities, visitors should not ignore the ancient Cham stone road. Walking on this route, you will encounter a whole natural ecosystem of trees that few places have such as dates, chestnut fishing bunches, guava, thorny oysters, choi... For hot weather, to avoid heatstroke and loss of strength, visitors should depart in the early morning or late afternoon.

Hang En is located in Vinh Thuy village, Pho Chau commune, Duc Pho district, 70 km east of the city center. The sound of the waves, the wind, and the sound of birds chirping make Hang En enchant people's hearts.

Because few people know about it, the scenery here is still wild, deserted and peaceful. Seen from below, swallow nests cling to rock crevices like beautiful limestone stalactites. Although there are not many tourism activities, you can take photos on the rocks overlooking the vast sea and sky or eat and camp here as you like. Visitors should note not to litter after eating to keep the environmental landscape here.

In addition, around the 3rd lunar month, guava hills begin to ripen and spread throughout the region, attracting wild birds to come here to sing all day long. It can be said that this is a place of harmony between heaven and earth, making you forget all the troubles in life and immerse yourself in nature.

Check-in at Sa Huynh salt field
