1. January – Peach blossoms
January is the first month of the year, although at this time, Hanoi still has a low temperature, even with the sun, it can still be freezing cold, but this is also the time when Hanoi is gentler and more immersed by the shy peach branches, pinching buds showing off on old bicycles walking all over the streets. Looking at the delicate petals fluttering in the rain and dust, everyone must feel disturbed because spring has begun to knock on every door.
When it comes to Hanoi peach blossoms, you definitely cannot ignore Nhat Tan peach blossom village. Nhat Tan Flower Village is the most famous flower growing village in Ha Thanh in Tay Ho District, Hanoi. Nhat Tan peach blossoms are brightly colored with thick petals and have extremely beautiful tree shapes. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, peach blossoms show off their colors and attract a large number of young people in Hanoi from all over the world to visit, take photos and buy peaches.

2. February – Flowers
Banana is a typical flower of the Northwest, which began to appear in Hanoi in the 1960s. In winter, the plant sheds its leaves, puts sap into the stem to feed the buds, from the end of February to the beginning of March, the flowers begin to bloom and last for about a month, becoming a characteristic of the city. The banana flower has 5 petals, usually white with pink, purple, purple and pink stripes. Banana flowers in Hanoi are purple or purple felt.
The streets with the most flowers are the area on the shore of Hoan Kiem Lake, Bac Son, Dien Bien Phu, Hang Bong, Thanh Nien Street, Lenin Park... But perhaps the most beautiful is Hoang Dieu Street, opposite the Bac Son Memorial area. There is a walking path here, with about 20 banyan trees planted in a row, white and purple pink vibrating in the cold wind, bringing extremely romantic beauty to Hanoi.

3. March – Milk flowers
Hanoi has many "exclusive" flower seasons, and one of them is milkweed. The milkweed season in Hanoi usually starts from the end of February, in the obvious spring season with drizzle and humid climate. The milkweed flower does not bloom sporadically, but every time it blooms, it will cover the whole tree, brightening up a corner of the sky. And every time a wind blows through, tens or hundreds of white flowers fall, creating an extremely romantic scene, touching people's hearts.
Milkweed trees are most abundant on Phan Dinh Phung, Hoang Hoa Tham, Phan Chu Trinh, Giang Vo or Thanh Nien streets.... In addition, you can also see a few milkweed trees on Lang Street or wide-spread milkweed trees in the middle of the Me Tri dormitory yard located on Luong The Vinh Street.

4. April – Lilies
Lilies are also called "the flower of April" by Hanoi people, because lilies bloom only once in April every year, which is considered a sign to "call" summer. Although not as brilliant and fragrant as many other flowers, the simple white color creates a very unique pure beauty for lilies. In the bright summer sun, with the pure white of flowers and the green of leaves and stems, bouquets of lilies on flower trucks appear all over the roads and alleys, making the suffocating capital of ordinary days suddenly become poetic and romantic.

5. May – Phoenix
Every summer, from mid-May to June, phoenix flowers begin to bloom all over the streets of Hanoi, pouring down to the roots to form flower beds that attract anyone who passes by. The red color of phoenix flowers on summer days seems to put on a new shirt that is fresher and more charming.
Phuong is planted alternately with lily flowers on many roads around Hoan Kiem Lake, so when summer comes, it looks very prominent thanks to its purple – red color. You can go to Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, To Lich riverside road... to admire this brilliant summer color.

6. June – Lotus
June is considered one of the most beautiful months of the year for Hanoi, when the lotus season begins to bloom, exuding the fragrance of the capital. In the midst of the hot and red weather of summer, seeing street vendors full of lotus flowers is really a pleasure that brings an indescribable sense of happiness.
In addition to street vendors that are easily seen on bicycles on streets such as Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Mai Xuan Thuong,... then you can also go to Quang An flower market, Dong Xuan market... to find and buy yourself the most beautiful lotus bouquets.
In addition, West Lake Lotus Lagoon is also a place not to be missed. In each lotus blooming season, the vast lake surface is covered with thousands of large lotus leaves, interspersed with lotus buds stretching out in front of the sun and wind. There, the dress owners will open a tea service and rent ao dai for guests to take pictures. This is also the lotus harvest season for marinating tea by artisans.

7. July – Crocodile Flower
Crocodile flowers are likened to the alarm clock of Hanoi summer, every time the crocodile rows on both sides of the road begin to lose their leaves, revealing delicate inflorescences, people whisper that another summer is coming, very close. Not as brilliant as sunflowers, not as arrogant as lotus flowers, crocodiles quietly give themselves a space of their own, carefree with the sky and wind, but still enough to make people's hearts swoop.
Crocodile flowers are opaque white or yellowish, tiny bunches of flowers, round like pretty pearls, vibrating and playing in the wind. Although not fragrant, crocodile flowers also have a scent that makes many people in Hanoi fall in love. You may not recognize those fragrances because of the hundreds of other scents on the street. But somewhere in July, there is still a faint sweetness of crocodile flowers.

8. August – Strawberry flowers
Every time August slowly returns, Hanoi people come across the image of tiny white strawberry flowers on every way home. Strawberry is a plant with intense vitality even though the petals are fragile. Just put an old branch in the ground and it will carve its own roots, germinate, shoot, and prosper. Strawberry flowers when blooming form tiny clusters. Every time the wind blows through, each flower falls down, whitening the whole road.
Imagine, the feeling at the end of summer when the sky is still smelling of hot sun, just seeing the white moonflower on the blue sky in the middle of the roads, there is naturally a feeling that summer has suddenly disappeared.

9. September – Milk flowers
A Hanoi entering autumn with gentle, chilly winds and a strong scent of milkweed spreading throughout the streets gradually over time has become an indispensable part of this place. It can be said that milkweed is a specialty of Hanoi autumn.
The milkweed season actually starts at the end of September and lasts until around the beginning of the 12th lunar month. Often, towards the end of the season, the milkweed aroma becomes darker. And especially at night, the accumulated heat of a day stimulates milkweed to bloom. Milk flowers are not as colorful as phoenix flowers, purple mausoleum flowers, but are "compensated" by a distinctive, even monolithic scent. Every time the season comes, each tree produces white flowers in lush clusters, and the wind pushes the fragrance of flowers away.
There are streets in Hanoi that are known as "milk flower streets", because every few meters there is a tree. The streets that must be mentioned are Quang Trung, Nguyen Du Street, then Duy Tan, Quan Thanh, Le Quang Dao, Lo Duc, Dao Tan. In particular, Nguyen Chi Thanh Street, Dong Da District is about 1.7 km long but has about a hundred milkweed trees.

Normally, mid-December onwards will be the time when the canola flowers bloom most beautifully, however, the blooming time is very short, only about two weeks.
