Conquer the cool waterfalls in Moc Chau

Translated by Bing
Moc Chau is not only famous for its vast green tea hills or plum forests with white flowers every spring, this place is also favored by nature with beautiful waterfalls. The sight of the waterfall like a floating silk strip stands out on the brown color of the soil and rocks, giving visitors unforgettable impressions

Moc Chau possesses lyrical beauty with extremely unique natural landscapes, cool climate with four typical seasons. The "Northwest Muse" Moc Chau is in Son La province, about 180 km from Hanoi.

Dai Yem Waterfall

Dai Yem Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Moc Chau. Falling from a height of more than 100 meters, the waterfall is divided into two distinct branches: the upper waterfall covers an area of about 4,000 square meters with 9 floors representing the 9 levels of love, the smaller lower waterfall (occupying an area of about 300 square meters) consists of 3 levels. These two cascades are about 200 meters apart, flowing strongly throughout the day and night. From a distance, the fast-flowing water floated white bubbles like a soft silk strip squeezed across the cliff.

Like a girl in love, Dai Yem waterfall is gentle and calm at times, but also very strong at times. From April to September is the most beautiful time for visitors to admire the wild and lyrical beauty of this waterfall.

Tat Nang Waterfall

Flowing from a height of more than 100 meters with a length of 150 meters, Tat Nang waterfall has an extremely attractive wild beauty. The white water layers creep through the forest canopy originating from the convergence of Ta Xam and Ta Piu streams, flowing through the area from Phu Mau 2 to Phu Mau 1. Tat Nang Waterfall is like a jewel hidden in the middle of the pristine forest. The cool water of Tat Nang  waterfall helps tourists relax in the sweltering heat. The waterfall is most beautiful from July to August, when the amount of water pouring into the waterfall increases significantly, the water flow is stronger and more majestic, creating a delicate and poetic scene.

Chieng Khoa Waterfall

Chieng Khoa Waterfall, also known as Nang Tien Waterfall, May Waterfall or Na Tra Waterfall, is located about 24km from the center of Moc Chau district. The name of this waterfall is associated with a famous legend from the Hoa Ban Festival of Xen Ban village - Xen Muong.

Chieng Khoa Waterfall does not possess the majesty of Dai Yem Waterfall or Tat Nang Waterfall, but its beauty is no less charming. The soft, calm water crosses the rocks before pouring, creating a shimmering sight like a soft silk strip. Chieng Khoa Waterfall has seven floors, each floor has a lake at the foot of the waterfall. The water at the lakes is calm and quite shallow, suitable for swimming or soaking and relaxing.

Fairy Waterfall

Nang Tien Waterfall consists of three floors, each with its own unique features. The first floor is gentle with a lake as deep as an adult's hip, inviting visitors to come and cool off. To reach the second floor, visitors need to climb up the water. The path may be a bit difficult, but it is totally worth a heart-warming view with the waterfall flowing straight down the turquoise lake. The depth of the lakes on the second and third floors is quite large, and the rocks are often covered with moss, making them slippery. Visitors need to be extremely careful while moving around.
