Nestled within the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, Pu Luong Eco Retreat is located approximately 30 kilometers from Mai Chau – Hoa Binh and about 178 kilometers – a 4.5-hour drive from Hanoi.
Situated atop a hill, the resort features bungalows thoughtfully terraced to offer breathtaking views of the valley. Evoking the ambiance of a tranquil nature village, Pu Luong Boutique Garden comprises 10 mountain bungalows and 2 traditional stilt houses built by the black Thai People, offering a total of 16 comfortable beds. The retreat includes a restaurant and reception area.
The architectural design of the bungalows embraces the use of natural materials sourced from the mountains and forests, and each bungalow comes complete with a private balcony to soak in the splendor of the valleys, mountains, and rice terraces. We were very lucky for having the opportunity to visit the paradise. Amazing view to an endless rice terraces and mountains. There is also a great walking path to track around and in the woods.
The bungalow is surrounded by trees and green plants, so beautiful. The balcony was the best part, one step into the fields.
The team was very nice and welcoming, and there was a manager who knows English very well, which helped us communicating with the team, and made sure that we are well and happy.
The food offered in this hotel s restaurant is mostly local food, but any customization and special requests can be made. Also, the option to eat at any time we wanted, was very comfy.
There is also a very nice pool, but we didn t have much time to dive in.

Boutique Garden is een zeer mooi verblijf met mooi en proper zwembad. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk, het ontbijt lekker. Het eten s avonds echter niet goedkoop en van matige kwaliteit. We kijken met een gemengd gevoel terug op ons verblijf aldaar. Omwille van een dubbele boeking kregen we twee weken voor onze aankomst het voorstel om de eerste nacht in een nabijgelegen, gelijkwaardige homestay te verblijven. Ter compensatie zouden we een gratis tour krijgen ter waarde van 20 euro per persoon, alsook een fles goede wijn . Het andere verblijf was echter van beduidend mindere kwaliteit. Het zwembad was een ingebouwde Intex en was niet proper. De tour bleek een wandeling in en rond het dorp met de eigenaar. Zeker niet de georganiseerde tour van 20 euro die daar wordt aangeboden en ons beloofd was. De gratis fles wijn bleek uiteindelijk een fles alcoholvrije schuimwijn, de goedkoopste van de kaart. Deze konden we gelukkig nog omruilen tegen enkele gratis biertjes. De scooter die we bij het verblijf huurden bleek uiteindelijk ook zeker niet de goedkoopste. Ondanks het feit dat het een zeer mooi verblijf is, met goede kamers, mooi zwembad en vriendelijk personeel, verlieten wij Boutique Garden met het gevoel dat de gasten op de tweede, en financieel gewin op de eerste plaats komt.
