Ho Guom Opera

Ho Kiem Theater is located at the intersection of 4 major streets in the center of Hanoi, only 3 minutes walk from Hoan Kiem Lake. The theater will become a focal point connecting with cultural works, historical relics, and the existing thousand-year-old architectural landscape of the Capital, forming a cultural arts and entertainment complex around Hoan Kiem Lake. Ho Kiem Theater is impressed by the neoclassical architectural design style, reminiscent of the first theaters of mankind, where historical elements, indigenous culture and contemporary beauty intersect. Each design detail of the lobby roof system and interior recreates a part of the history of the Vietnamese nation through traditional patterns, symbolizing Vietnamese culture such as the sun, crane, Dong Son copper drum, ethnic musical instruments,... The theater has 6 floors, 3 basements including the main auditorium up to 900 seats, a small concert hall of 500 seats and exhibition areas, art exhibitions, opera to symphony, musicals, ballet to modern music performances, seminars, TV shows... The main hall ceiling lighting plan is inspired by the starry night sky with splendid lights that make the theater at night sparkle - literally an art cathedral.
