Ba Thien Hau Temple is about 38km from the center of Soc Trang City. This is a pagoda in Soc Trang with a long history, built by the Trieu Chau Chinese community since 1891.
The temple is a place of worship for Thien Hau Saint Mother, considered by the Chinese as the patron god of fishermen and seafarers. Legend has it that during the exploration of Yongzhou, the Chaozhou Chinese community found a bronze Buddha statue, so they built a temple to worship. Initially, the temple was built quite simply, after many times of restoration and expansion, the area of this ancient temple is as spacious as it is now.
