Ong Bon Pagoda is a special pagoda in Soc Trang city. In the middle of the land imbued with the imprint of Theravada Buddhism, Ong Bon Pagoda evokes the bold colors of East Asia. The couplets on the walls and the red lanterns hanging in front of the gate have great spiritual significance.
Ong Bon Pagoda was built in 1875. In the past, Ong Bon Soc Trang Pagoda was just a small temple of the Chinese community residing here, but later, through many changes, restoration and improvement, the pagoda has become much more spacious, becoming the most famous spiritual tourism destination in the city.
Although it has undergone many renovations and repairs, the beauty and original architecture of Ong Bon Soc Trang Pagoda have been preserved intact until the present time.
