The owner of Langmandi is probably quite dreamy with endless creativity because each room here has a very unique color that we can hardly find anywhere else. The Hazelnut room is a blend of classic and modern features full of European and American retro style in the 1920s - 1960s. Or the Cairo Room has the shape of ancient, mysterious and charismatic Egyptian architecture, or a romantic, pensive Circus.

This is a cute little boutique hotel in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. It is easy walking distance to the Cathedral, the lake and tourist shops. The room was small but adequate. The bed was comfortable. We stayed before and after our side trip to Halong Bay. We had a a 5th floor room on our first night and asked for a high room when we returned the next night. Unfortunately they did not honor our request. The temperature dropped during the evening and night in Hanoi while we were there but they had not turned on the heat as of yet (it was the end of December). They did give us more blankets but the room was chilly in the evening and morning. We had a third floor room overlooking the street on our second visit and it was very noisy. After a long day of touring Hanoi, we came back to our room late in the afternoon and the room was not made up. We called down and they said sorry, they were busy. We just wanted to clean towels since we were leaving the next day. The breakfast buffet was nice and had many items to choose from. There are not any places to sit down and eat near the hotel, or at least none that the front desk recommended to us. We lost our room card and they charged us 100,000 dong. I was totally surprised at this! I can not fully recommend this hotel as there are so many other choices in the area that may have better customer service. This hotel was chosen by our tour guide.
