Silk has always been a high-end product line due to the feat to create a silk sheet from silk sewing to silk weaving. Located in Van Phuc Ward, Ha Dong, Van Phuc Silk Village is a silk weaving village dating back thousands of years and silk products here used to be sewn as costumes for the imperial court. Van Phuc silk products to this day still retain the natural, soft and shiny material that is rare anywhere.

it s nice to take a tour, let someone else do the organising, get a bit of info on the area. Lan, our guide was lovely and happy to chat about local culture. we made some nice purchases. some satin silk aud$14 per meter, I have paid 40 at home for lower quality. everyone friendly and no pressure.
