Located at the foot of Vong Canh hill, Thuy Xuan incense village is a shopping destination attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. The village is filled with colorful blue, red, purple and yellow colors and the faint aroma of incense bouquets reminiscent of traditional Vietnamese Tet days. Not only can you visit and take photos, but you can also buy souvenirs with the image of Hue dreaming meaningfully.

We could not find a taxi to bring us back to Hue from Tu Duc s Tomb so we started walking and came across many shops selling the colorful incense sticks. They were displayed outside with all the different colors of the rainbow, an excellent area for taking selfies. At each shop the sales ladies tried to drag us in where we saw how the incense sticks were made and even we were encouraged to try and make one ourselves. BUT BE CAREFUL as there are different qualities on sale and the cheaper ones do not smell strongly of the incense, so better to buy the expensive ones. There are 4 main incense flavors and we chose the lemon grass.
