Thang Long Imperial Citadel is a fortified citadel, towering in the heart of Hanoi capital and was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2010, on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary after King Ly Thai To moved the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long. The Imperial Citadel was once inhabited by the Ly, Tran and Le dynasties, and is the place to preserve the vestiges of a fierce golden period in the history of water building and water preservation of the nation. According to recently reconstructed 3D images, Thang Long palace in the Ly period consists of 64 architectures, 38 palaces and corridors, 26 hexagonal floors with walls, paths and gates. The images show the scale and incredible magnificence, demonstrating the brilliant level of cultural development as well as construction techniques, the level of planning at the peak level that amazes researchers, is the pride of the Vietnamese nation, of Vietnamese culture.
