Kho Muong Bat Cave

This is a cave located in the Kho Muong limestone mountain range, located in the north of Kho Muong village. Bat Cave in Kho Muong is also one of the caves discovered in the core area of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve cave system. This place is also a habitat for many species of creatures, especially bats. According to the research collected, the Bat Cave in Khmuong is currently home to at least 4 species of bats. This cave was formed and present a long time ago, according to research, the rocks that make up this cave stood here 250 million years ago. Moreover, this cave is connected to the groundwater system leading from Kho Muong to Pho village in Lung Cao commune. The system of rivers and streams flowing deep in the heart of the Bat Cave in Khong Muong has characteristic and familiar features for the Kart limestone mountain areas. It is thanks to these characteristics that it has created a connection between the valley basins through the streams flowing through the cave.
