Choosing a location associated with the historical site of the Temple of Literature Quoc Tu Giam, Gia Restaurant was born with the desire to convey the core cultural values of Vietnam.
Right from the moment you set foot in the shop, you will be attracted by the architectural elements of Indochinese style with wood materials and dark blue - brown tones. The main dining room is a modern space with silver glass walls, on which An Nam people are painted in daily activities, creating a rustic feeling but still extremely luxurious
The menu at Home only has about 13 dishes but will be constantly changed according to the season, changing the menu every three months. Gia mainly uses very Vietnamese ingredients such as vegetables in the Northwest or giang leaves in Thai culinary culture, traditional dishes such as vermicelli, eel soup, chicken noodles,... Already familiar, now recreated in a completely new and interesting perspective.
Through each dish, Gia tells the story of traditional Vietnamese culture, about a cuisine that connects the past, present and future.

We didn’t expect that our first dinner in Vietnam and Hanoi would cost so much but I’d say that it was for a good dining experience.
The restaurant is located in a nondescript shophouse with a small sign. Our Grab driver missed it the first time when the car went past.
Wife and I ordered a tasting menu. The servings were small but came with a very innovative display of creativity using the local produce.
I liked the marbled eel which was grilled eel with tender meat. The next dish that I liked was the mushroom rice. A small serving but very tasty.
Staff are prompt and enthusiastic. We had a chance to chat with the sous chef in the kitchen and met with the bright and young chefs. Great fun chatting with the team.
Overall it was a delightful experience at Gia (by the way the word sounded like “Jia” in Chinese.

The food is beautifully decorated. But not delicious, unique service style, food is processed in a unique way, so it is not suitable for my taste. Using pure Vietnamese ingredients. For each dish, the forks and chopsticks are changed accordingly. But the extra service charge is not very good. And also expensive. Eat to know, but can t eat every day.
