Ong Temple (Canton Assembly Hall of Can Tho) is a temple of Cantonese in Can Tho and has been ranked as a National Historical Relic.
From its construction in 1894 until today, the appearance of Ong Temple has remained almost unchanged. The entire architecture is built in the shape of the letter 國 with closed rows of houses perpendicular to each other, in the middle of the temple is an empty space called Thien Tinh yard. The glazed tile roof is covered yin and yang. The temple is painted with gilded vermilion and carved motifs bearing the mark of the Chinese people.
Ong Temple is a place for tourists to visit and learn about culture, a place to admire unique architecture and also a spiritual place to pray for peace and blessings.
