At the end of September, the Ru Cha mangrove forest is located on the Tam Giang lagoon, right at the mouth of Thuan An sea, in the deciduous season. The forest is more than 5 hectares wide with ancient banyan trees turning yellow and blooming flowers, attracting many visitors to see the scenery every day. Visiting the Ru Cha mangrove forest, visitors can walk on a 2-meter-wide concrete path through the forest or rent a boat from a local fisherman. The 5-storey guard hut more than 20 m high in the center is the highlight of the forest. Visitors standing on the hut can observe all the mangrove forest trails and the view of Thuan An estuary ahead.
In the season of changing color and flowering, local people also open a boating service to carry tourists in the forest, earning additional income. Boat rental prices are not fixed, depending on the length of the rental. People also open a service to rent ao dai or antique clothes to check in on the boat.
In the corner of the forest on the side of Tam Giang lagoon, the ancient banyan trees are in the stage of deciduous and blooming. For many photographers, Ru Cha transforms into autumn is the most beautiful season. Around the ancient tea forest, the forest rangers planted more water coconuts and cork. The green color of the coconut is in contrast to the yellow color of the tea forest, which is entering the deciduous season, blooming flowers, creating an impressive scene.
From the Ru Cha mangrove forest, visitors can watch the overpass over Thuan An estuary under construction or the sunset on Tam Giang lagoon.
Ru Cha is 7 km from the center of Hue city, the road is convenient, there are no tickets for sightseeing, so it attracts a lot of people and visitors.
