See the rhododendron season on Fansipan Peak

Translated by Bing
April every year is the time when hundreds of thousands of wild rhododendrons bloom brilliantly on the road to Fansipan peak, making the Hoang Lien Son trekking route more beautiful.

Hoang Lien National Park is not only famous for the poetic villages of the highland people, Fansipan Peak or the impressive O Quy Ho Pass, this place is also known as the "Kingdom of Rhododendrons of Vietnam". Because every late spring around April, the dry and moldy branches of the creeping forest trees on the cliffs seem to grow from the vitality of heaven and earth. Each bunch of pink rhododendrons covered the mountains and forests full of enchantment.

Rhododendrons bloom the most at an altitude of 2200m. Fansipan Peak is the place where many of the most beautiful ancient rhododendrons are concentrated. Different from the fragile and delicate banana flowers, rhododendrons possess a beauty full of vitality mixed with a bit of strength and power with arrogant colors.

The proud and vibrant rhododendron colors adorn the landscape of the Northwest mountains and forests. The season of viewing rhododendrons blooming on Fansipan Peak will last from April to July and is always the most anticipated time of the year.

On the trekking routes to Fansipan peak, you can encounter 300-400 year old rhododendron trees. Rhododendrons at this altitude have almost very few young branches, from the time they sprout until they grow tall, they tend to squeeze each other vertically towards the sky to catch the light.

The route to the top of Fansipan is considered extremely poetic, when circling the mountains with thousands of rhododendrons blooming on both sides of the road.

In addition to forest trekking, you can take a cable car to Fansipan Peak to enjoy the feeling of flying through the majestic mountains and forests, watching the full scenery on the Hoang Lien Range and right in the middle of the green carpet of the forest are carpets of rhododendrons of all colors, from red, pink, yellow, purple to white.

On the top of the mountain, yellow and red rhododendrons are concentrated in Arhat Street, the area of the statue of Quan The Yin Bodhisattva and on the way to the top of 3143m, around the area of Kim Son Bao Thang Tu... In particular, the rhododendron variety with red flowers is more than 300 years old and extremely rare.
