The trekking route of Sa Mu - U Bo peak, although it has only received a lot of attention from tourists this year, everyone who sets foot here is surprised by the magical scenery and diverse vegetation. Especially, for genuine climbers, the primeval beauty of Sa Mu forest cannot be compared. Many people also favor, calling this one of the most beautiful trekking routes in Vietnam.

According to the Bac Yen district web portal, Sa Mu - U Bo peak has an altitude of 2,890 m above sea level, located in Ta Xua special-use forest, which has just been topped in December 2022. Ngoc Linh (28 years old, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City), who has just conquered Sa Mu peak at the end of November, assessed that this trekking bow is quite easy to go, especially people who have just ventured into trekking like her. "Compared to Bach Moc Luong Tu Mountain (Ky Quan San), Nam Kang Ho Tao in Lai Chau, Sa Mu peak is much easier to breathe. Talking about the scene, each place looks very unique," said Ngoc Linh.

Ta Xua special-use forest has rich natural resources. Mr. Nguyen Trong Cung, (31 years old, Thai Binh), who has just returned from a trekking trip to Sa Mu peak on December 9, said that he is an alumnus of the Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy (Hanoi), in the process of learning to come into contact with many types of plants and medicinal herbs, when he set foot in the forest, he was like a "fish meets water". The beauty of the forest can't help but make him admire and enjoy. "I realized quite a lot of medicinal herbs through the shape and flowers. As a long-time climber, plus having experienced many ups and downs in life, I thought there would be no more scenes that surprised me. This thought was wrong when I set foot in Sa Mu forest," he shared.

On the way to the top of Sa Mu, Trong Cung identified many precious medicinal herbs. Which are bone jelly (supporting the digestive and nervous systems,...), bear bile plant, rice husk grass, and conventional plants. Some edibles such as wild pear, wild kiwi, wild passion fruit, and wild grapes. In addition, there are also a number of flowers or plants used as spices in the forest such as star anise, rhododendron flowers, begonias, lao grass, poplar grass, thuong son, purple fruit zizhou, far-flung ... and many red-leaved maple trees.

For hiking, especially the arches through the forest, every step is an impact on nature. "The Ta Xua Forest Management Board does not clearly disseminate how to preserve vegetation, but I think the act of picking flowers and breaking leaves is a no-no. If a person passes by and breaks a flower, what is left of the forest. I do not encourage young people to cut down trees to dry, then roast whole pigs, this is very resource-intensive," Mr. Cung shared. Young people who go hiking on their own or in groups should be aware of their own actions in the green forest. In addition, porters (group leaders, usually natives) can actively remind members to pick up trash along the way, cigarette filters.

Guests participating in climbing should be equipped with multi-pocket pants. The goal is to accommodate as many garbage bags as possible, while walking and picking up garbage. Drinking water should be stored in a personal bottle, not bottled.

According to statistics, Ta Xua special-use forest currently has 671 species of plants, 364 genera and 129 families belonging to 5 higher plant branches.
