Water painting on the Purple stream during the dewy season

Translated by Bing
Coming to Dalat, most tourists know Tuyen Lam Lake - the largest freshwater lake in Da Lat City. However, not many people know the origin of the water flowing into the lake, which is Purple Stream.

In the early morning, the fog spreads over the water, swept into the trunks of the bare trees growing in the middle of the lake, making the Purple Stream appear as a foreground.

The area around the flow of the Purple Stream is surrounded by mountains that form the terrain of the basin. Around 1985 - 1986, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province and Duc Trong district carried out a dam to hold the water of Suoi Purple area, forming Tuyen Lam Lake as it is today, according to the website of Lam Dong province.

Purple Stream is a rare place with flooded palm forests and diverse ecosystems in the highlands of Lang Biang. In each season, the palm forest brings its own beauty, changing leaves in winter and producing young shoots in spring. The slender, slender trunks that stretch vertically in the middle of the sky create a unique scene, attracting photographers to compose.

The road from the center of Da Lat City to here is about 15 km. The road is quite beautiful, only a short section of about 100 m is being repaired. Visitors can travel by motorbike, pickup truck near Purple Stream and walk another 300 meters to reach.

The walking path into the Purple Stream through pine forests. Sunlight shining through the foliage forms extremely magical lights. Arriving at Purple Stream in the early morning before dawn, you'll find yourself lost in the "foreground" as "morning mist hovers over the lake, sweeping into the bare leaves

At dawn, the early day sunlight fell, and the scene was tinged with a pale pink color and then turned yellow. The mist clears, the water surface becomes shimmering in the sun, brightening up the space. "It's an incredibly magical scene with a bit of ghostliness that I've never encountered anywhere.

One day in Purple Stream, visitors can feel the beauty of the four seasons. The misty scene in the early morning has the feeling of spring. The sunshine is bright at noon and the temperature rises just like summer. The space is quiet, the rustic boats lie silently on the water bringing the autumn air. The chill at night resembles winter weather.

Purple Stream is a place that still retains its pristine appearance, without tourism services. Around the lake there are many flat lawns, cool air, suitable for visitors to bring camping gear to picnic, enjoy nature and relax.

The entrance to Purple Stream is a pine forest trail that is easy to get lost without a guide. Visitors can go to the marina in Tuyen Lam Lake to rent a boat to bring in, the price is divided according to the number of people. Guests can also bring a SUP boat to experience a cruise on the lake.

The late winter and early spring days are the time when Purple Stream is at its most beautiful. Visitors should choose days of high humidity, low wind and arrive before dawn (before 6:30) to admire the ghostly scenery when the mist rises on the lake. Note that the early morning temperature in Dalat is quite cold, visitors should bring warm clothes.

In Purple Stream, any corner can produce poetic photos. To preserve the beauty of the upstream area of Tuyen Lam Lake, visitors need to preserve the landscape, do not throw garbage indiscriminately and clean up before leaving.
