Ba Den Mountain - the 'holy place' of Vietnamese year-end pilgrimage

Go to Ba Pagoda for thanksgiving at the end of the year At the beginning of the year, tens of thousands of people from Tay Ninh and other provinces poured in  Ba Den Mountain  - the highest mountain in the South to pray for peace, health and fortune. Since May 12, Ba Den Mountain has been crowded with tourists from all over the world coming to the system of Ba Mountain pagodas to pay homage and gratitude to Lingshan Holy Mother Bodhisattva.  The Lingshan Holy Mother Bodhisattva is the highest sacred symbol in the spiritual life of the Southern people. Linh Son Holy Mother is worshipped in the entire system of 6 pagodas and many temples and caves at Ba Den mountain; including Linh Son Tien Thach Temple and 300-year-old Ba Palace as the main place of worship.  In spiritual and cultural life  Southern , the legend of the Lingshan Holy Mother has been passed down through generations in the image of the compassionate and inspired Bodhisattva. In Tay Ninh, Ba Den Mountain is the main place of worship associated with the legend of Ba Den three times epiphany, making this highest mountain in the South become a pilgrimage mecca known to people nationwide.  Ceremony in front of Shakyamuni Buddha's relics The Jade relics of the Buddha are honored as a "treasure" of the Dharma. Many Buddhists wish to admire the jade relics of Shakyamuni Buddha. Venerable Thich Dong Wu (abbot of Thien Hung Pagoda, Binh Dinh), who brought the Jade relics of the Buddha from India to Vietnam, said: "In the Lotus Sutra, it is taught that just painting on the land of the Buddha statue and sincerity is immeasurable merit. Therefore, if people can meet and see the relics of the Buddha, admire and offer relics to the Buddha, they will feel its wonderful happiness." That is why many Buddhists and tourists come to Ba Den Mountain, especially at the end of the year to seek peace, because this is a rare place in Vietnam where the relics of the Buddha are kept.  At the top of the mountain, the jade relics of Shakyamuni Buddha are solemnly seated in the two-storey borage stupa, in the middle of the sanctuary space at the Buddhist exhibition center at the foot of the statue of Ba Tay Bo Da Son Buddha. Preserved on the legendary sacred mountaintop, Jade relics are considered to sow more good relationships, bringing opportunities for Buddhists and tourists from all over the world to seek peace and happiness. Go to Ba Den mountain to balance body - mind - mind For many Buddhists and tourists, Ba Den Mountain is also a destination to balance body-mind-mind and awaken four hidden virtues inside each person: Love, Compassion, Joy, Discharge. Because the top of the mountain is the seat of 2 great Buddha statues: the Buddha statue of Ba Tay Bo Da Son - a symbol of compassion and the Maitreya Buddha statue - representing joy and discharge. At a height of 986m, Asia's tallest bronze statue of Buddha Tay Bo Da Son located on the top of the mountain is the embodiment of the Bodhisattva with universal compassion for sentient beings. At the foot of the Lady Buddha Statue descending downwards are 5 giant water dishes in the stylized image of 5 lotus petals, through the vast square is where the world's leading sandstone Maitreya Buddha statue is expected to be settled in January 2024. 36m tall and assembled from 6,688 sandstones, the giant Maitreya Buddha statue is in a sitting position, with a gentle face, a joyful smile, a stout figure, a neck with a rosary. From above, Maitreya Buddha smiled happily as if to give blessings, joy and happiness to sentient beings.  According to VNN Photo: Compiled from multiple sources
