It was raining and we were pleased to go downstairs to a cosy, warm corner where we enjoyed pa-fried scallops (without the black pudding) in a lemon and saffron sauce and the lobster bisque, which was delicious with an unexpected hint of chilli. This was followed by whole grilled lobster with lemon garlic butter with vegetables and new potatoes and seafood linguini, again in an unexpected coconut cream Penang curry sauce, and a side salad. We had a Chablis to accompany our food.
