Sea Shack

We followed the GPS to this restaurant which is in an office park a little off the main road. It s a nice neighborhood but there aren t any views of the water or marshes. There was plenty of off street parking and the restaurant appeared to be handicapped accessible. We ate after the lunch hour so had immediate service with seating both outside and inside.

This is a no-frills; no-nonsense diner. Customers order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Service is on styrofoam with plastic cuttlery. There are small tables inside which are adjacent to the cooking area. Not much has been done to create decoration or ambiance. I am just saying that so you know that the name, Sea Shack, should be taken literally.

Now the the best part. We had the best food of our vacation at this restaurant. Not only that but the menu was more extensive than any others we had seen and included muscles, red snapper, grouper, frog legs, and all the usuals. I had the crab cakes. They were 90% crab with only enough filler to hold them together. My wife had the fried snapper. It could not have been tastier or better prepared. There are non-seafood items and choices for kids. We talked to some other diners who had blackened seafood. They said it was delicious. The prices were also a little less than most places in the area. This has got to be one of the best places around!

My sister and brother-in-law introduced us to this awesome place to eat. We sat outside and enjoyed a delicious meal of seafood. I had flounder, shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.
