Water puppetry is a typical image for Vietnamese national art. Dao Thuc water puppet village located in Dong Anh district, Hanoi has been present for more than 300 years. Although the village has been taught three professions: weaving, carpentry and water puppetry, up to now, the village has only preserved and developed water puppetry.
