Thang Hen Lake

Thang Hen Lake is located in a complex of 36 natural lakes located at an altitude of nearly 1700m and connected through an underground cave system. In particular, Thang Hen Lake has the largest area and also attracts the most tourists. The main lake has a rhombic shape, the widest place is 500 m, the longest place is 2,000 m, some places are hundreds of meters deep. In the distance, the shape of the lake is like a giant bee tail as the meaning of the word "Thang Hen" in the Tay ethnic language. Thang Hen Lake has the most beautiful scenery in the North with jade green water reflecting the clouds. The lake is surrounded by primeval forests and carpets of blooming wildflowers. When coming to Thang Hen Lake, you can stroll around the lake, take a boat to explore nature or check-in at nearby places such as lonely rocks, wild flower gardens, ancient houses in Lung Tao or Ma Phuc pass.
