The Scarlet Pearl is a new ship with large cabins and a balcony even on the cheapest cabin. What makes the cruise is the staff. They work very hard and are always cheerful and friendly.Chris and Phuong are particularly good. There are trips out on the catamaran and to see the dark caves. There is swimming and kayaking available, but if you don t wish to do this that is fine. We were met on board by all the staff waving and one throwing petals over us. The food is good although the breakfasts a little more limited than those we experienced in the rest of Vietnam. The food although not cheap is not rip off cruise prices either. Halong bay is very beautiful.
