Hoang A Tuong Palace

Hoang A Tuong Palace is known as the most powerful mansion in the "white highlands" and is also known as the King of Bac Ha's mansion. Not only a unique architecture, the mansion is also a place of preservation, a testament to the stories of the struggle of the people of Bac Ha against French colonialism. This is a magnificent building, present as a symbol of the wealth and power of Hoang Yen Chao as well as his son Hoang A Tuong. Later when restored, the mansion was covered with a new layer of bright yellow paint that was somewhat strange but the building structure remained intact unaffected. Today, visitors to the mansion can experience the space and enjoy Bac Ha corn wine. The traditional corn wine stove was built right behind the building. Handicrafts of ethnic minorities such as dresses, shirts, brocade scarves or pipes, silver rings are also displayed here. The road from the center of Lao Cai city to this unique residence of Bac Ha plateau has to go through many dangerous twists and turns, but in return the natural scenery on the road is very majestic.
