Phia Po Peak

Phia Po Mountain, known locally as Father Mountain, is located in the Mau Son mountain complex, Lang Son province 30 km from Lang Son city, nearly 200 km from Hanoi. Located at an altitude of 1,541 m above sea level, Phia Po peak is also the "roof" of Lang Son. This is a new trekking destination on the tourist map, so it retains its pristine beauty. From Hanoi, visitors often choose a 2-day-1-night itinerary, take a car or motorbike to the foot of the mountain and then hire guides, porters to carry items such as tents, food to climb to the top. The journey to conquer Phia Po is divided into 2 stages. The first day trekked 3.5 km from the foot of the mountain to the campsite, set up tents to eat and rest overnight. Day 2 continued to move to the highest peak with the same length. The total distance of the 2-day trekking is about 14 km. The path is not too long but steep. The new trail is opened, people in good physical strength can go during the day, those who want to trek and take a recuperation break should go 2 days. In autumn the green grass hills turn yellow, while in winter and spring, the grass is covered with cloud mist.
