Loi Am Thuong Pagoda is a famous ancient pagoda in Quang Ninh with very beautiful scenery and sacred fame. The pagoda is about 16km from Ha Long city center, equivalent to 30 minutes of travel.
Located on Linh Thuu Mountain, Loi Am Thuong Pagoda was built with a mountain-like backing and located at an altitude of more than 500m above sea level. To reach the pagoda, visitors will move from the pier to Yen Lap Lake by boat. The natural scenery around Loi Am Thuong Pagoda has a diverse and rich ecosystem. Standing on the mountainside, visitors can fully admire the charming picture of Yen Lap Lake.
With a lifespan of more than 700 years, Loi Am Thuong Pagoda is considered one of the oldest pagodas in Quang Ninh province and Vietnam. The temple is associated with many mysterious spiritual legends and was the base site of the 98th Regiment during the resistance war against France. In 1997, Loi Am Thuong Pagoda was recognized as a National Historic Site.
