What a beautiful little resort! A true gem in the Phong Nha countryside, nestled between karst mountains. It s a bit off the beaten track, which we thought was great as we could take our children on a bike ride (on resort bikes) on the surrounding roads. We also enjoyed kayaking on the Chay Lap river just 200 m down the road. The rooms were extremely spacious and the bathrooms well appointed and clean. Very comfy beds, too! The basic playground kept my kids entertained for longer than expected, and the pool was warm and clean.
Our travel agency booked this accommodation for us and took care of ordering a set vegan dinner for us, which turned out to be fabulous and plentiful. We had asked for Vietnamese dishes for the adults, and really plain food for the kids (stir-fried tofu and steamed rice) and they delivered perfectly. At breakfast unfortunately the only vegetarian option turned out to be white toast with jam, or fresh fruit (which was rapidly depleted both mornings we were there).
We really hope to be back here sometime! Recommended - however if veg* I d suggest mentioning it before arrival to request something nutritious to eat at breakfast.
