This is a new hotel and possibly needs a bit of time to bed down. It s located on a small area of land between a very busy road bridge linking Can Tho to Saigon/HCMC and a branch of the Mekong. We wanted somewhere quiet to relax at the holiday rather than a beach resort. The area is quiet (provided your villa isn t in sight of the bridge) and the staff are lovely.. However, the "villas" are really just detached hotel bedrooms. They aren t really large enough to be described as a suite, the wardrobe is so close to the loo that, when the door is open, you can t use the loo! The wardrobes are very small, with only some basic hanging, no shelves or drawers, and in the bathroom area, which is just weird. My largest gripe is that all rooms face full on to public areas and have no privacy unless you keep the blinds down permanently. The bed faces the large window so that s an issue. We had upgraded to a pool view (actually a pond) villa but realised that they face onto the swimming pool, all the loungers and the main restaurant so no privacy either in the room, in bed or on the day beds outside the villa. We asked to change and had the delightful view of the helipad(!) and were in full view of all the container ships on the Mekong.
The hotel offers yoga sessions and we had a free massage since we were staying 3 nights. The food is ok but a tad international and "safe" breakfasts were the least interesting of the entire stay in Indochina. The lauch that takes guests to the mainland is a nice touch and there are plentry of good restaurants in Can Tho to try, a museum, temples and some interesting sights for a stroll after dark.
