We first wanted to stay for a week but increased the vacation for another week. So two weeks in a great hotel with awesome staff. Shout out to Jake the bartender and Jimmy our host - thank you for making our vacation memorable.
The rooms very nice and clean, good A/C and Netflix. The pool and the view from there was great, amazing sunsets.
Breakfast was also nice, big variety and we as vegetarians got ourselves well fed.
Shops/laundry/restoraunts + good pizza were really close, also the beach with all the bars and activities.
You should definitely rent a scooter from the hotel.
Thanks for having us and we d love to come again!

Liked · We spent 5 nights at the AVS hotel and were happy with it. The room was large and comfortable, clean and hd all necessary amenities. The swimming pool on the roof top isn t the largest I have seen ;) but you can swim in it, provided there are not more than 4-5 other persons ;) The beach very near the hotel is great, but the hotel doesn t have a private beach, you must "use" that of a neighboring hotel o resort. This said, the beach wasn t dirty at all, in spite of some comments by other reviewers. And do not miss the lovely restaurants on the dirt road close to the hotel!
Disliked · Breakfast wasn t great for a Westerner :( in the sense that unless you eat Vietnamese food for breakfast you won t be entirely happy ;) they could provide croissants and pains aux raisins for instamce, which you find very easily even on Phu Quoc. And another thing: the manager should gather the chambermaids and explain clearly to them, that "possibly" some customers may wish to sleep past 8.00 am, so they are required to WHISPER and not **chat with a loud voice** right behind one s door at 7.30 am :( :(
