"I'll let you decide"
Inspired by the meaning of "river of stars" in Okinawan, Tingara offers a completely different culinary journey. More than a mere meal, Tingara is the stage where the culinary arts Teppanyaki and Sushi are perfectly sublimated, in a delicate and interesting combination with traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
Style Omakase – "I let you decide" – is at the heart of the Tingara experience, as diners fully entrust their taste buds to the creativity and technique of the chefs. Playing the role of storytelling and leading diners on a journey to discover the depths of flavor here are all world culinary stars.
At the top of the culinary advisory role is Junichi Yoshida – a monument of the world's Teppanyaki art and also the first Teppanyaki chef to be honored with a prestigious Michelin star. He has also been a culinary advisor since the early days of Hibana by Koki restaurant of Capella Hanoi Hotel with 2 consecutive years of receiving Michelin stars. His presence in Tingara is a guarantee of the highest culinary standards.
Meanwhile, Chef Tetsuhiko Isozaki, who directly stands at the Teppanyaki counter at Tingara, embodies meticulousness and sophistication in the art of Japanese cuisine.
Sitting at the kitchen counter, the first diners to come to the restaurant witnessed each dish being meticulously prepared and interesting as if watching an amazing culinary magic show.
The star of Tingara is the Ultimate Crispy Steak, which is considered a symbol of perfection, with Yaeyama-kyori wagyu beef – the premium meat of the land of cherry blossoms. The beef is slow-cooked to preserve its tenderness, then finished with a charcoal grilling technique called Kishu Binchotan - considered by chefs to be the best charcoal in the world because it is especially long-burning, odorless, smokeless and the secret to the perfect Teppanyaki dish. The crispy outer layer but still sweet and soft inside, blended with the chef's delicate and typical sauces, is the taste that "makes you remember" diners forever when coming to Tingara.
The Sushi Bar is the performance stage of chef Tsuneyoshi Tiara - a sushi master with more than 20 years of experience. He uses the freshest slices of salmon and tuna, imported from top suppliers. The nigiri or sashimi pieces are meticulously presented, not only beautifully but also bursting with original, fresh flavors in each slice.
The special feature at Tingara lies not only in the art of food preparation but also in the close interaction between the chef and the diners. Each dish is like a secret that is revealed little by little, turning the whole meal into a taste excursion full of fun and surprises.
At Tingara, drinks are more than just a part of the meal, but the perfect complement to elevate the taste experience. Under the guidance of Tasting Expert Peter - who used to work at the famous French restaurant La Maison 1888, diners will enjoy sake, shōchū, fine Japanese whiskey, as well as creative cocktails and premium wines.
Cuisine on the side of the "Milky Way"
Located on the "Heaven" floor – the top floor of the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, Tingara is like a bird's nest hidden in the green forest canopy of the Son Tra peninsula. The restaurant was designed by Bill Bensley in a unique circular shape with a panoramic view of the vast sea, bringing diners into a world that is both close to nature and unique with details inspired by rainforests and oceans.
With a capacity of just 52 guests, Tingara offers a sense of privacy and intimacy, making it ideal for romantic evenings or important gatherings. The ceiling is designed like a shimmering "galaxy", with giant blue fish hovering by. The warm golden light surrounding the "Milky Way" further highlights the vividness and fantasy of space. This image not only evokes the beauty of the ocean but also carries the magic of the universe, creating a splendid space like a work of art.
The space at Tingara is exquisitely designed to meet all the needs of diners. The central area stands out with a circular food bar that surrounds the Teppanyaki kitchen, where diners can witness talented chefs performing the art of processing right in front of them. In addition to the central counter, Tingara also arranges separate dining tables, cleverly placed by large glass doors with a panoramic view of the natural scenery of Son Tra.
The soft lines in the interior design combine with natural materials such as wood and stone, creating coziness and luxury. All contribute to enhancing the experience of diners, making each meal at Tingara not only a culinary experience but also a memorable journey from taste to sight.
