Location
Camia is one of the wonderful resorts located along Ong Lang beach, Phu Quoc island. The resort is exceptionally green and quiet and is only 10 minutes away from the main town of Duong Dong. The network of narrow streets behind Ong Lang beach has become an area of cafes, restaurants, shops and bars.
Resort Grounds
Camia is built on a slope that leads down to the beach. This means that even the rooms deep inland have beautiful views of the sea and gardens. Rooms in the middle of the resort only have a view of the garden but have easier access to the beach and pool, while the beachfront villas have direct access to the ocean. Small paved streets wind through the resort's grounds and trams take guests everywhere. Walking is the better option as it is a good way to experience the vast tropical gardens with all kinds of exotic perfumes and colorful flowers.
Beaches, Pools & Activities
The resort's private beach is 100 meters wide, while the resort grounds stretch from the sea several hundred meters away. Although there is no long coastline, Camia beach is attractive and beautifully landscaped. A green, palm-lined lawn leads to a strip of sand, on which wooden folding chairs are lined up beneath large Malabar almond trees, daffodils and coconut trees. The sand is marked with black volcanic stone slabs that form a protective ring around the Camia beach façade. The rocks are not sharp or particularly slippery, so access to the ocean is not difficult, and when you are more than five meters from the beach, the open water is calm and safe.
Camia's seaside infinity pool is worth a swim. A very nice and picturesque pool, this is where you can enjoy the view and sound of the ocean without having to actually be in it. The resort's second (and equally beautiful) infinity pool is located in the heart of the resort, surrounded by two giant ancient tropical trees with a rooftop restaurant growing on one side. A small gym, children's play area, kayaks, bicycles and well-maintained automatic motorcycles are all available to guests. Fishing, sightseeing, snorkeling tours and many other activities can be easily arranged through the resort's reception.
Rooms & Décor
There are two basic types of rooms: 'rooms' and 'villas'. There are not many options between them as they are all quite spacious, comfortable, cozy, well-maintained, elegantly designed with a balcony or terrace. Inside, the rooms are separated by a table between the living area with a sofa, TV and desk, and the bedroom. Two large windows flood with light and wind during the day. The bathroom is divided into a washbasin and an outdoor bathtub and shower with attractive tiled floors and greenery. The color scheme is soft and muted – mainly white, blue, and earthy tones. The interior and décor are also simple and restrained.
Breakfast, Eating
The restaurant is ideally located on an open terrace above the central pool overlooking the entire resort grounds and the sea. The menu includes a variety of Vietnamese and Western dishes. The bar is located in a hut under the trees that serves delicious cocktails (try Negronis), fresh pizza and other snacks of the bar. From 5:00 p.m., this place is perfect for sunset drinks and snacks.
