Yunka - Nikkei Cuisine & Cocktails
The name "Yunka" may at first sound reminiscent of an unreleased album by Kanye West. However, this is a brand new restaurant from the talented team behind famous brands such as Clay, Tinto and The Brix. Yunka marks their first foray into the vibrant area of District 1, promising to offer unique and impressive culinary experiences.
Previously, the trio of Clay, Tinto and The Brix made a big splash in Thao Dien, District 2. Each restaurant has a distinct style: The Brix by the pool with a relaxing atmosphere, Tinto specialises in unique Nikkei cuisine and Clay by the river for a romantic atmosphere.

Yunka's menu promises variety: ceviche and sushi rolls, yakitori and Wagyu steaks, classic cocktails with tropical flavors like the Spicy Mango Margarita, a variety of cocktail sours, and sake served by the glass, tokkuri jar or bottle.
The interior space is uniquely designed, reminiscent of a greenhouse garden, with the highlight being plum-colored lampshades, emerald green ceramic tiles and gold-plated stools at the bar. In addition, diners can also watch the busy flow of people on Dong Khoi and Dong Du streets right outside.

The Enigma Mansion
It has exposed brick walls, a mezzanine seating area and private lounges. Co-founder Vu Ngoc and bartenders Thong Hoai and Loan Nguyen have returned to their familiar positions, in elegant light orange uniforms, under a phoenix sculpture rising from a flame suspended from the ceiling.

Mortar
Mortar, inspired by "batu lesung" – meaning pestle and mortar in Malay – is located in an airy location at the end of a small alley in District 3. It has a spacious patio and a romantically lit indoor dining room.
Malaysian chef, Eden, has kept the menu in a traditional style. The restaurant even displays a 150-year-old "batu lesung" (pound mortar), passed down through generations in his family, as a tribute to the rustic family meals of his childhood.

Although sometimes the dishes use more premium ingredients, such as rendang (curry) beef ribs and Opor (a greasy coconut dish with lemongrass) with beef cheeks, the menu is mostly carefully prepared and affordable Malaysian classics such as Ikan Bakar (grilled fish) and Chicken Kuzi (spiced stewed chicken).

Tipsy Department
The name of the restaurant – "The Tipsy Department" – says it all.
Liam, the founder of modern cocktail bars Hybrid Nha Trang and Hybrid Saigon, has recreated the place where he used to work.
Ignoring the Japanese design style from the former Irusu Lounge era, Liam has transformed this place into an authentic "dive bar"-style bar, although it is not located in the basement (you can find it on the 1st and 2nd floors, in an alley opposite Notre Dame).

The main goal of the bar is to make you "tipsy", with a nostalgic menu – screwdrivers, alcoholic slushies, fresh cocktails and tequila shots – and simple but satisfying snacks like beef stew and bean nachos, Happy Hour lasts 3 hours a day (6-9PM) and opens very late. with staff often reluctant to flip the "closed" sign at 3 a.m.

Shri Restaurant & Bar used to be a "lifelong favorite" of Saigon, combining a restaurant and a sky-bar. The cocktail menu is an impressive highlight in this new combination. "Saigon By Night" with the flavor of spiced rum blended with Earl Grey camellia juice and rosemary, "Shri Sunset" with a cool spritz style for the sunset, or "Heart Of Darkness" with a unique combination of rum, tamarind and tabasco, promises to arouse all your senses.
The European-style menu offers exquisite dishes such as Grilled Oysters with Apple Sauce, Pan-Fried Foie Gras, Lobster with Black Squid Pasta, and many meat-based main dishes such as Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Honey Mustard Sauce. All of them are beautifully presented, making it possible to temporarily forget about the beautiful view outside the restaurant to immerse yourself in the flavors of each dish.
