The La Reine train, inspired by the Queen's Southern Palace, began serving passengers on the Da Lat - Trai Mat route on Christmas Eve (24/12), according to the Vietnam Railways Corporation.

On December 24, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) announced the official opening of the Queen train (La Reine in French), taking tourists from Da Lat city to the suburbs of Trai Mat (Lam Dong), departing from Da Lat railway station.

The train will have 36 seats lined up along the sides, with the aisle in the middle. Notably, the train has a VIP compartment of 12 seats for family guests who prefer their own space.

The interior space of La Reine is inspired by Indochinese architecture mixed with French style in the Southern Queen Palace. The interior owns a classic neutral color. The ship is equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, new sanitary areas, integrated water-pneumatic exhaust system and anaerobic microbial treatment system, porcelain sinks combined with cast-stone tables and floors.

In addition to enjoying the scenery on both sides of the road, visitors will be served music, artichoke tea and some snacks. The train currently has a ticket price of 80,000-170,000 VND/person/way. This is a special experiential tourism product of the city.

Da Lat Railway Station was built by the French in 1932 and completed in 1938. The front of the station has 3 pyramidal roofs that are said to be stylized from the image of 3 peaks of Langbiang mountain. Da Lat - Trai Mat stretching 7 km is the only railway line serving tourists here. Previously, the information that the Saigon Railway Operating Branch (which is managing and operating Da Lat station) considered increasing the ticket price to the gate of Da Lat - Trai Mat station by 10 times, causing a reaction. Then, on October 1, the unit announced to keep the price of 50,000 VND/ticket for adults and children aged 11 years and over.
