At the entrance are multi-purpose doors that can be rotated, low with jungle motifs and wavy ceiling panels. Inside, is a lounge space designed to be sunken, where DJ stands 'presiding' as a captain of the departing train.
To lead the boat, BAR SON invited talented DJs such as Levi Oi, Tung Tim and Ashley Lai. On the opposite side, the bar resembles a treehouse, with green sprouts sprouting from the inside, and an ornate wooden façade that reaches to the ceiling, dotted with brandy racks.
Outside is an airy terrace to enjoy the bustle of Ton Duc Thang street, surrounded by lush trees and a bustling development of Thu Thiem riverbank with new villas, apartments and office buildings.
BAR SON is more vivid than ever when night falls. After that, the lights began to fade and the music also increased in intensity. That's when the waitresses show up with mouthwatering small plates, from the signature cheese-filled spring rolls, to larger plates of slow-roasted lamb shoulder, grilled young chicken with lemon, grilled cod with smoked black mussels and black beef loin with portobello mushrooms.
In addition, there are delicious cocktails such as the Red Dragon that perfectly balances the meal, which comes in a long-stemmed Martini, which contains gin, berries, and a hint of basil; or Lotus Negroni, with floral gin, lotus, mancino bianco vermouth and aperol, and a gentle lotus leaf resting on a meticulously carved stone.
The BAR SON cocktail menu is a cross between Eastern and Western cultures. Bar Son focuses on high-end spirits and fresh ingredients, taking some local flavors and adding a little Western twist."
In fact, BAR SON is open early in the morning, serving all-day breakfasts such as egg and mushroom truffles and avocado toast, with some original cold beers and cold brew teas taken directly from the sales carts. And a perfect lunch would be a greasy burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes, toasted almonds and fermented chili oil, freshly peeled oysters with rice wine, ginger and a little lemon.
