About Tien Giang

Tien Giang is a coastal province in the Mekong Delta, where the Tien River and Vam Co Dong River go through. As time passed by, the two large rivers deposited rich layers of fertile alluvial sediment for the plantations of Lo Ren star apple, mango, Cai Be tangerine and durian.
Traveling to Tien Giang, you will be able to free your soul in the midst of a poetic, idyllic landscape which bears the characteristics of Southwest culture. You can also experience many interesting things such as going to Cai Be floating markets, listening to the melodies of "don ca tai tu", or visiting the sacred pagodas and especially feeling the warm-hearted genuine West peasants.

 

Weather
In Tien Giang, star apples are in February, mangoes are from March to April, durians and rambutans are from May to July, longans are from August to September. You can explore Tien Giang at any time of the year but don’t miss the June - September period. This is the best time to float on the flooding water and enjoy authentic fruits.
 


Transport
The distance from Ho Chi Minh City to Tien Giang is only about 70km if you follow Trung Luong Highway. Since My Loi Bridge was in use, it has been shortened to 25km. Therefore, you can travel by many vehicles such as motorbikes, cars, and buses.
