About Thai Nguyen

Thai Nguyen is a mountainous midland province in the north, with a mixture of unique cultures with the communities of ethnic Tay, Nung, Dao, etc. Not only is it famous for its tea speciality throughout the country, but it also possesses the wild beauty of mountains with Nui Coc Lake, Chicken Beak Spring, Phoenix Cave, and many valuable archeological works. Furthermore, Thai Nguyen was an important historical witness of the country when it became the capital of the Viet Bac autonomous region during the resistance.

Weekend with family at MoJen's Thai Nguyen campsite

Dat Ngao Waterfall is one of the famous attractions of Quan Chu commune, Dai Tu district, Thai Nguyen province. The waterfall is located close to the foot of the Tam Dao mountain range, about 18 km from Dai Tu town. The road to Ngao waterfall is quite easy to walk, only nearly 2 hours drive from the center of Hanoi. The waterfall still retains its pristine beauty in the middle of the forest, with the sound of pouring water, birds singing, rustling leaves... creating a cool music for summer days. Mo&Jen Camp Retreat in glamping style – fully equipped: bathroom, toilet, in a mattress tent, fan, bedding, accompanying food... Each tent can accommodate 4 people. In the evening, visitors only need to turn on the fan to sleep well in the middle of a hot summer day. In particular, the resort has treated insects to limit mosquitoes, burn bodies... disturbing tourists. Move: Located about 95km from Hanoi, my family takes nearly 2 hours to move in the direction of Hanoi - Thai Nguyen highway, the last 10km of the road is working, the rest is quite easy to walk. There are 2 roads from Hanoi to here, one through Vinh Phuc and the other through the HN - Thai Nguyen highway.  Cost: Here, in addition to the 11 ready-made tents, visitors can choose some areas to set up their own tents. Other camping and glamping services range in price from 200,000 VND ~ 1,200,000 VND/person.  Comfort: The camping floors of the area are all located close to the stream, my house comes to bathe in the stream, shovels sand, picks up rocks and then goes to the shore to chill and listen to the sound of the gurgling stream, watch the sun set behind the cliff, and the day is over. Each camping floor is arranged very privately, with its own power outlet, faucet and fire area, next time my family will definitely come and stay overnight to experience it all. In addition, the bathing area and toilet, although shared, are quite clean and not too far from the tent.  This is a camping style that blends experiences close to nature and residence, high-end comfortable picnic equipment, bringing luxury and romance to fill the space. What to eat? Parents can order food here or prepare their own takeaway food like their family. Dinner at the campsite includes BBQ items, you can grill your own food right in front of your tent or order at the restaurants in the Dat Ngao area (about 2 km away). Organize a party under the lights or by the fire and play together and sing to each other in a very romantic space. A few small notes when coming here to play: - Bring a towel and plenty of clothes for your children to wade freely. - Bring mosquito repellent spray, mosquito roll cream because the camp area has many trees, so there are insects. - The campsite is right next to the stream bank, so parents should always pay attention to their children. If you are a backpacker who wants to find an ideal camping location for this summer, MoJen's & Retreat is an address that you should not miss when coming to Thai Nguyen.
